Master Chief helmet
This was initially an assignment from my ZBrush instructor for me to learn how to model hard surfaces, but I ended up taking it a few steps further, and here’s the final result!
Modeled in ZBrush, unwrapped and mapped in 3DS Max and xNormal, and rendered in Marmoset.
Triceratops
The triceratops is back, so am I, and we’re both better than ever!
I’ve reworked him quite a bit since I last posted him! I redid the retop process entirely, this time including the claws, horns and eyes into the same mesh as the body. It’s about 200 polys more than the first low poly mesh was (which hadn’t actually been posted before), but it looks much better. I’ve also completely repainted the textures, applied some maps baked out in 3DS Max and XNormal and rendered in Marmoset.

The final project for my intro level ZBrush class. We had to sculpt, retop, texture, polypaint a dinosaur (or any other scaly creature really), and here’s what I had once that class was over!
The scales on the sides are a bit rough, and I think that’s because I didn’t give the geometry enough density during the retop before making the scales, so there wasn’t as much to work with. Some of the painting bugs me a bit too, but I think that may just be me being too judgmental on something I had to look at for weeks.
Hey guys! Here’s a turntable of my Canti sculpt! The presentation isn’t much, but I just wanted to give everyone a good 360 full view and close up shots of him. After I get him completely finished, I’ll maybe make the video a little snazzier!

Zbrush Sculpt - Canti from FLCL
Hi all! Here’s the project I worked on all last quarter for my Animation Studio class. I had hoped to work more on this over my summer break, but I just never got around to it. There is still a good deal of work and overall refining to do to this, but I’m not sure when I will get around to that, so I decided I should just post what I have and not put it off any longer.
Anyway, as I said, there are some things I’m not totally satisfied with and would like to fix, but considering this is effectively my first full Zbrush sculpt of this nature, I’m really pretty happy with it overall! Once I’m more experienced with different sculpting techniques in the program, I think I may tackle this project again from scratch and see how much I’ve improved.

The Transcending Vagabond
The tale of a homeless man and a malfunctioning, time traveling watch!
I worked on this as an environment artist and animator as part of a production team class. This short was completed over the course of eleven weeks. Aside from a few nagging issues, I’m pretty happy with how this turned out. It’s even been submitted to the 1st Annual Filmmaker’s Showcase at Flix Brewhouse, so I am especially proud to be part of something that could earn some recognition!
